The content is intended for students in the third grade of elementary school, but students of other grades can also participate.

Before conducting an online social studies field trip, we will conduct a correspondence test.

The tour will show how Kirin Afternoon Tea is made, mainly through video footage and some live streaming. After the tour of the manufacturing process, questions submitted in advance by elementary school students will be answered directly. Kirin Afternoon Tea Straight Tea and Millet Biscuits exclusive to the factory tour will be sent to the elementary school in advance, allowing them to enjoy tasting samples.

Timetable

• Factory overview (10 minutes):
  Materials will be projected and a guide will provide explanations (live streaming via Zoom)
• Manufacturing process explanation (10 min):
  A video introducing the production line at the Shiga Factory, showing how bottled drinks are made (watch the recorded video on YouTube)
• Factory tour guide (10 minutes):
  PET bottle molding machine demonstration (live streaming on Zoom)
• Introduction to factory workers and their jobs (15 mins):
  Introducing the work of factory workers and various innovations (watch the recorded video on YouTube)
  Quiz on factory innovations (live streaming on Zoom)
• Environmental Initiatives (5 mins):
  Introduction with quizzes (live streaming on Zoom)
• Q&A (10 minutes):
  Q&A (live stream on Zoom)
• Tasting:
  Sample "Kirin Afternoon Tea Straight Tea" and "Factory Tour Exclusive Millet Biscuits"

What the elementary school will provide
